Cleansing.

 For some reason, right now, I am craving a clean and organized space. For someone who is already a neat freak, having a "clean and organized" space means only one thing; I need to get rid of some crap. Baby crap, housewares crap, clothing crap, toy crap, maternity crap... crap, crap, crap.

 For the past week I have been going room by room, closet by closet, and determining what hasn't been touched or worn in a year. If it fits the bill, it's out. If it sort of fits the bill, it's out. If it's on the fence... well you get the idea. Out, out, out.

 Now that we are committed to staying in our condo (which is actually plenty of space for the four of us) I want to make sure that we only have things in our home that we love, and that are serving us. If it doesn't, I'd rather it go to someone, anyone, who is in need. I can't even begin to tell you how cleansing it is, to see bags and bags of "things" leave my house, knowing that they will be going somewhere where they will again have value. Right now, for me, there is no greater feeling. 

Along with my crazed desire to get organized, I am also finding myself drawn to a more simple decorating scheme. I can't stop drooling over images of entire rooms done in only white, and I am craving simplicity in my own space. I mean, how could one not want to live in a space as soothing as this:

Clean

Cleaner.

Mr. Clean magic eraser, clean.

Simplicity at its core.

For me this quote sums up my goal for my life and home in 2013.
