I wish mine was 5 hours a night. Oh the things I could accomplish during the day..Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7726108441348262210.post-21900224332316976732013-06-05T10:39:55.471-04:002013-06-05T10:39:55.471-04:00I am in the same boat- I wish I could stay up late...I am in the same boat- I wish I could stay up later (as does my husband) but by 9:30/10 I'm exhausted and wake up at 6. I would love to be able to function on less sleep but no idea how- I feel terrible when I sleep less.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7726108441348262210.post-86738769001550500992013-06-05T02:32:04.056-04:002013-06-05T02:32:04.056-04:00Ironic as I read this the morning after sleeping f...Ironic as I read this the morning after sleeping for probably 5 hours and I can categorically say: IT IS NOT ENOUGH!! I feel dreadful. That feeling you get in the morning when you know there is a WHOLE DAY before you even get the chance to relax, let alone go to sleep again. I found this shifted for me the older my kids got; my daughter is 12 and she goes to bed at 9pm so really, once she has settled I have so little time alone, quiet etc that I do use those hours to catch up, read browse, yoga, TV etc. Long gone are the days of a 7pm bedtime that would leave the adult evening stretching out ahead.

I figure get as much sleep as possible; all sleep is good sleep and you are probably way healthier than most. If I could get 8 hours a night I would be delighted! As it is I average more like 6.5/7 and that is NOT ENOUGH!!

Great post!

L xLouhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13457538074763854583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7726108441348262210.post-84263036703806856312013-06-05T01:10:47.112-04:002013-06-05T01:10:47.112-04:00I am right there with you sister! I'm sure you could cut back gradually or even cold-turkey, and your body would adapt. And you're right, every weight-loss article, book, anything says sleep is so important when it comes to being healthy. But after C goes to bed, I rarely do anything productive, so I'm just as happy going to sleep. ;) Good luck! Honestly, I wish I could say to you, you're normal, but I'm asking myself the same question! And for me if I don't get 8 full hours apparently I'm hideous. :)
I actually try to sneak in a nap if I can because I also feel quite nauseous. I've wondered if it's my diet (which is pretty clean and healthy) but my iron levels are ok. I'm fit too and my child is 17. So if you find you can cut back (on purpose!) please let me know.Janenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7726108441348262210.post-39392447647230944842013-06-04T21:20:55.788-04:002013-06-04T21:20:55.788-04:00Hi, I love your blog but not commented before.
