Monday Links

Okay, so it's not technically the weekend but around here everyday is a weekend because, well, SNOW.  So much snow.  Gray's school is already cancelled for tomorrow and I'm sure the LM's will soon follow suit.  For those of you keeping track that means the kids haven't had a full week of school since December 15th.  I wish I could be one of those mom's who is like, "yay... now we have more time to craft!!!" but if you could picture the exact opposite of what she looks like, that's me.  Right now my kitchen is covered in play dough, there has already been multiple temper tantrums over the removal of the iPads, the boys are in the tub and it's my job to keep bringing them snowballs... which has been going on for about 45 minutes, and I'm pretty much just counting down to my first glass of wine which is exactly 4 hours and 27 minutes away.  My husband the hero somehow always gets to cover for his coworkers who can't get in to the city, and I have to say I can't blame him... if I could break out until 7pm I would too!!!

For those of you stuck inside here are a few fun links to help you save your sanity.

I love the idea of this 30 day minimalism challenge.  Right now my head feels so cluttered given how behind I am because of last week's flu and snow, and I love the idea of streamlining EVERYTHING.

How cute is this storage bench? I think this would look amazing in a neutral nursery with a great textured rug!

An incredible guide to white paint!  I always say, "when in doubt go white" and then the question always becomes, but which white?  I tend to lean towards BM decorator's white, but now I'm absolutely going to give some of these a try!

This lentil salad looks INCREDIBLE.  As soon as I can get to the store, I'm absolutely making it.  I have a feeling this is going to become my new go-to dish.

What are your thoughts on overalls?  I used to say no way!!!! but now I think I'm changing my tune.  I feel like come spring I'm going to be dreaming of these particular ones over a basic tee, paired with my trusty clog boots or birks.  I love the ease of the look and of course the comfort factor cannot be denied!

I have spent the last two weeks doing nothing but complaining about how hard it is to commute with all this snow and then a friend shared this article.  Talk about some much needed perspective, and a great reminder about helping those around us for whom a snow storm is a life altering event.

I'm an anti-breaker.  This is genius.

My girlfriend sent me this and it brought tears to my eyes.  My takeaway... if you feel you are doing it all wrong, than you are probably doing it all right.

Have any of you tried this new product? I have to say I'm intrigued...

We had this pasta for dinner on Saturday and everyone (including the boys) could not get enough!  I used pecorino in lieu of parmesan and it was so good, and so easy!

How genius is this new car seat?  For those of you who live in the city, this truly would be a game changer.

My kids might have a new part time job on their hands...

The secret to frizz-free hair is simpler than you may think! I tried this and it totally makes a difference!

Even though it's a long, LONG way away... this is currently topping my wish list for spring.  Over a basic tee, paired with jeans and flats. SO so good.

Finally,  I also have to send out a big thank you to all of those who are working around the clock to try dig out our city... it's a pretty thankless job and we are so grateful for all that you are doing!
