I Pity The Fool.

Babies aren't exactly known for their stellar hairdos. We've all seen the two year old girl, without a sprig of hair on their bald shiny head. Or the infant boy who has hair sticking out every which way giving them the look of constant "hat head." Bad hair just seems to be a fact of life for most kids, and luckily it seems to be something that they quickly grow out of.

And then there are my kids.

I thought I had seen the worst with the LM. He was born with no less than 4 inches of black hair, and rather than it falling out, instead blonde began growing in underneath making him look more like a skunk than a 3 month old baby. Despite the protests from friends and family, I eventually, and quickly, had the black trimmed off, and instantly the LM became his adorable, yellow haired self. I figured this was as bad as it could get.

Then came Gray.

Of course, every parent thinks their child is the cutest thing on earth, and I am no different . However, this undying affection does not keep me from recognizing the simple truth that my boy (sadly) has one messed up head of hair. There is nothing wrong with the hair itself, it's actually a pretty nice color, the problem is that he keeps loosing it. In chunks. Lots of chunks. In all the wrong places.

This is what I'm talking about.

You see?

Nothing on the sides, not a lot in the back, and his hairline begins somewhere in the middle of his scalp. It took me a while to figure out who he looked like, and last night as I was putting him to bed it hit me. Kind of like a ton of bricks.

Yes, Mr. T.

Now you see it... don't you!  It's like they were separated at birth!!!!

I pity the fool that tries to mess with my kid in the sandbox!

(now, if only I could find newborn sized gold chains...)

Oh my goodness! That made me and Patrick laugh. He's so cute, but the hair is something else.

Haha, you are so funny. But its a fairly common trend in the baby hair do stakes lol. My niece was exactly the same. It was somehow worse on a baby girl for some reason. I remember when my sister had her baby photos done and I thought, 'man alive that child is in desperate need of a bonnet' 'Hats' the way to go honey lol.
