(Little) Man's Best Friend.

Wednesday, June 23, 2010

The only downside to traveling to such an isolated place with the Little Man is that there aren't too many kids his age for him to play with (i.e none.) We do our best to try to keep him busy, but sometimes he is as tired of playing with us as we are with him. Luckily, today he found a new playmate*. Who says you can't teach a little boy new tricks?

In the end I'm not sure who enjoyed whose company more....

*Okay, okay so I'm starting to re-think my policy on dogs (you know, the zero tolerance one.)

Don't get a dog! MESS MESS and more MESS. Plus you like traveling. Can you tell I am sick of cleaning up dog hair, kibbles, nasty dog smell, and dirt. I just had lunch with my twin + 1 friend (sans kids) we were talking about how we wish we didn't have animals anymore. She just has two annoying cats that wak her up her Dh wants to give away. Sorry if I offend anyone. I was obsessed with my animals before children.

dogs are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love my dogs more than anything. Yes their is hair to clean up - but that can be avoided by breed. Get a hypo allergenic dog (small ones like a maltese or large ones like a labradoodle) and it wont shed.

The best thing about a dog is every single day you come home your dog acts like he thought you would never return home again and this is teh best moment of his life.

Wow! your son really seems to have bonded with the new friend. You may just have a new family member on the way back.

There is much research to support children and pets. We wouldn't be without our dog.

I submit I am sure the benefits out weigh the extra work. But don't say I didn't warn you when it pees and poops on your designer area rug. I must have PMS sorry people.

It's not always possible, practical, affordable, etc, but deep down, I think every kid should have a dog. As for the mess factor -- life is already messy if you have a child. Besides, dogs are easier to house break than kids.

Yummy Mummy is the last person on earth who should have a dog. She'll probably just turn it in to the pound after 6 months. For the love of all things holy, please do not submit an innocent animal to your trend-whore lifestyle.

hi i have to say that i am a big animal lover myself and although no sure if i wanted to get a dog originally i am glad that i decided to...i currently live in boston and i have to say the main draw back with haveing a dog in the city is that i dont always have the time to walk him, i often use this new company i found called taskrabbit.com that allows me to hire background checked runners to walk my big dog for me and i get to se my own price which is a great benefit, anyone who wants a dog or has one should check this website out its helped me a bunch
