The Happiest Place On Earth.

Forget Disney World, Nantucket is officially the "Happiest Place On Earth" and I am pretty sure that I just had the best weekend of my adult life. What did the four child-free, husband-free, responsibility-free ladies do? Ahhhh, the question is what didn't we do?

First we saw the sights.

The whole town was beautifully decorated for the Holidays.

We stumbled upon my dream home. (sigh)

We toured the Island in style.

And of course did some shopping.

Looking back I really should have gotten the hat too!

The bane of my existence became this sign.

Which made for some very cold coffees.

We posed for pictures.

And posed.

And posed.

... and posed some more. Here we are in front of our lovely cottage.

We ate... and ate...and ate. I had so much lobster I think I may be actually turning into one. AND I was able to get my hands on my most favorite food in the world, Raw Oysters. Yum!

And given that this was a Girl's weekend, we drank and drank and drank...

Which led to a very very very fun night of dancing. (CAUTION embarrassing picture alert. Yes, there are many more where this came from. No, you will never see them.)

Sadly we had to leave.

The weekend was amazing to say the very least. It will be something that I will remember for the rest of my life. All the husbands and all of our babies survived. There was some serious male bonding in my house, made all the more exciting by an unexpected winter snowstorm. I definitely missed my boys while I was gone, but I truly savored every minute while I was away.

I already knew how wonderful my girlfriends are, but this weekend just gave me the chance to let my hair down with them and party like it was 1999. I'm thinking this has to be a new tradition because I haven't been able to wipe the smile off my face all day!

Thank you girls for an awesome weekend! Love you all! Nantucket I miss you already.
