Let There Be Stripes.

Friday, June 24, 2011

Remember when I wanted to put these stripes on the ceiling???

All I can say is that there is no turning around now because you all spoke and the final answer was... let there be stripes!!!

Yesterday, as they were going up my heart stopped. I hated the color, hated the width, hated the fact that I had just "ruined" my beautiful nursery.

And then he was done.

My hate turned to LOVE and I can't believe that I ever doubted just how necessary the stripes were.

Viola!

Alright baby Gray, you are now full term, and your room is ready. Please feel free to vacate my uterus at any time!!!!!

Where did you get your glider? I love that it is not as big and bulky as most of the ones I've seen. Oh, and the stripes are awesome!

Wow, they came up way better than I was expecting. I love how you put together so many different patterns and colors but somehow made them all cohesive. What a great nursery!

I'll admit, I thought you were going a little overboard with the stripes, But they look amazing!!! The whole room looks like a magazine, ready for baby! Made me a little motivated to finalize my own (just a few weeks behind you)!

I'm so glad you all likey!!!! I seriously walk in there like 5 times a day and just sit and stare at the ceiling!!!!

To answer your Q's the rocker was purchased over 4 years ago at potterybarn kids, it was called the Dana rocker, and it may have been discontinued. I think this is a similar version, and I'm a huge fan! I don't have a lot of room and can't imagine the space it would take for a traditional rocker. Also, I took off the arm pads because I didn't like the way they look :)

As for the painter, he's local but I'm sure if it was a job he would be willing to drive. He did an AMAZING job, and was done in 5 hours. For 300 bucks I couldn't be happier. Email me if you want his deets :)

Thanks again for your sweet comments!!!!!
