Most Wanted

A few years back my good friend Anne emailed me and said something to the effect of, "what do you think about Birkenstocks and their revival?"

My response: Meh

Well... I am the first to admit when I am wrong and now two years later I can say there is no other shoe I love more than my Birks. I purchased two pairs last year and pretty much wore one down to the sole on our last Costa Rica trip and I was trying to figure out which pair I'd get (I love the white but can't imagine how dirty it would end up) when I saw these.

Drop mic.

Everyone can go home now.

I'm pretty sure I have never wanted a material item more in my life, and I'm pretty sure this is why the term "obsessed" was created.

Black on black on black on black. (Insert monkey covering his mouth emoji here)

For those of you who have yet to join the bandwagon, here is just more proof that the birk is where it's at. I wear mine from April-October and pretty much have to pry them off when my toes turn blue. (No, I'm not one of those socks + Birkenstocks people, although I'm clearly willing to change my mind about things ;))

If there is one shoe that does everything, this is it. From city chic, to beachy casual the Birk can translate just about anywhere, and the fact that they are made for comfort truly is the icing on the cake. If I have anything to say about it, this is one "trend" that will never go out of style. I plan on being the old lady with all my cats err Birkenstocks!

Yes! The original black is still the coolest I think!
