Oh Hell No!

Friday, October 23, 2009

Today I was looking at Style.com's top ten trends for spring. "Ten Spring things worth investing in," they called it. Apparently this is a trend I should be racing to spend my money on.

Oh Hell No! Clogs are back??? Wait, were clogs ever even in? I absolutely refuse, capital REFUSE to ever wear clogs. I don't care that they are made by Chanel. I don't care that they are a "trend." These are the fugliest shoes I have ever seen. In fact I even debated them putting them on the blog because I don't even want to be associated with these shoes. Say what you will, maybe I'm not fashion forward enough, but this is one trend that I plan on sitting out!

I noticed this trend on people up here recently. EWW! This isn't 1992! There is no reason to resurrect this trend!

It totally reminds me of something Brenda Walsh would wear. I am going to make it my mission to mock people who I see rocking the clog trend. I'm going to spearhead the no clog zone!

I just got back from a party where literally three women were wearing those Dansko clogs. I know they're comfortable but come one now.

But I love my clogs...and my crocs. They're convenient:(
(Hides in shame)

Lilian....no hiding in shame, you apparently are the trend setter. I just can't get over the clunky aspect of them. I LOVE comfortable shoes, but lean towards ballet flats, suede driving loafers, and flip flops. Can't do the clog. That is the great thing about fashion, to each their own!

LOL! I LOVE clogs, have worn them for years. . .prefer the fashiony ones to the comfort ones though. I guess it's the 'boho' 70's girl in me.
