Yummy Giveaway: 4 Tickets to Halloween Town!

Monday, October 12, 2009

I am so excited about this week's giveaway! Thanks to the lovely folks over at the Boston Medical Center's Halloween Town we are giving away a family pack of 4 tickets (note that kids 3 and under are free) to the event. This year it is October 24 – 25 at the Seaport World Trade Center. The special guest is Dan Zanes. While Dan Zanes takes the main stage, the rest of the Seaport World Trade Center will be transformed into a 70,000 square-foot haunted town for toddlers to 12 year olds. Interactive games and kid friendly activities include:

· Interact with a “real” ghost
· Meet & Greets with favorite characters from movies, books and cartoons
· LazerTag
· Children can also listen to their favorite tales in the MonsterPiece Theater
· iParty Birthday Lab
· Pepsi Monster Midway
· Haunted Mine
· Farmers Market
· The Swamp
All zones are “scare rated” providing fun for all ages. Halloween Town is also packed with great entertainment including jugglers, dancers, and fabulous musicians. With over 15,000 guests last year and more than 120,000 pieces of candy given away it is sure to become this year’s highlight for all ages from toddlers to ‘tweens.

To learn more about the event you can check out their website: http://www.halloweentownboston.com.

To enter all you have to do is leave your email in the comments section and tell me what your favorite halloween costume was that you wore as a kid. The tickets are non-specific so you can enter for friends and family as well. Re-Tweet for multiple entries. The winner will be chosen at random on Friday at 3pm.

The best part is that proceeds from this event will support The Kids Fund at Boston Medical Center. The Kids Fund helps BMC provide things like prescriptions, eyeglasses, medical equipment and better nutrition to kids who need it most.

I am so looking forward to this event! My little man (aka the little fireman) will be attending and I have a feeling that it will be the highlight of this Halloween season!

Good Luck!

My favorite costume was when I dressed as a ballerina. I was never any good at Ballet but I loved the frilly yellow tutu!

I'm sorry to say I don't remember my Halloween costumes. I'm sure I begged a pleaded each year for something specific (sorry mom). My mom did just give me a picture of one Halloween when I was dressed as a witch so I'll go with that.

I do remember the costumes made out of garbage bag-like plastic and the plastic masks with the elastic bands. And I definitely remember how they smelled.

My favorite Halloween costume as a kid was a fuzzy white unicorn, handmade by my mom. Sadly the era of handmade costumes will come to an end with me since the closest I get to a sewing machine is watching Project Runway :)
