What do you get when you combine 4 days with 3 girls, add in 1 big city, and subtract a manic 3 year old? We are about to find out, but I'm pretty sure the answer is one hell of a good time
Yes, people I am about to be free. Free to spend 5 days and 4 nights in NYC with my sister and my sister-in-law living in the West Village  (can you say heaven?)  Not only am I leaving, but he best part is that, unlike my last trip where I left my husband in charge of the household, this time I have brought in reinforcements and a few hours ago my amazing mother-in-law flew in to take care of my boys. Until Monday night she is the new CEO of this home which means I am now free to head off on a sabbatical, gilt free. A sabbatical that will likely include eating, drinking, a little shopping, and a LOT of dancing.

If you could see my face right now it looks something like the girl on the back of that bicycle.

Yes, I am that excited.

I promise to bring my camera, and if time allows I will definitely be posting from the big apple. If not I will see you back here Tuesday with all of the sordid details. Well, maybe not all.

Have a fabulous weekend, and for all you New Yorkers.... I'll be seeing you soon.

OMG! So jealous! Lucky gals!!!!!

Wow, I don't know what's worse - the fact that your husband can't take care of his kid by himself; or that you had to condescend and bring in his mommie to watch over him.

I'd be jealous if it wasn't NYC. Your love of NYC is losing you serious points in the "Am I a Bostonian yet?" quest. You obviously are not from Boston!

Anon... Or my husband has a job and my Little Man likes to spend time with his grandma. Last time I could only sneak away for two days, Now I get 4... You do the math.

And I do live NYC and Boston... Guess this means I'm just a girl from California enjoying my time on the East Coast.

Love NY! just came back from 2 nites with the gals.
absolutely Amazing city!
go to Per Se at the Time Warner building (if you want to indulge...) or to Landmarc (at the same building) for mingling on the Bar. Love those places.
(also Bar 89 in Soho is great. especially the Restrooms...) :-)
Enjoy! :-)

I wouldn't trust my dh with the kids that long especially in our country home. Is it just my dh or do all guys watch the kids with their back to them and just expect them to be there 10 minutes later?

Jodi, your comments make me sick. It's not up to you to 'trust your husband' with 'your' kids - they're his kids too. Everyone has a different way of dealing with their own kids.
It's exactly that kind of attitude that makes husbands sick of their wives, and they wind up boning the girl at the bar, so good luck with that.

I just found your blog and can't wait to hear about this adventure.

I noticed you have an anonymous writer who isn't always so nice but different opinions and negativity from people are always fun to deal with & overcome. So, I hope you had fun on your trip!
