We made it through Sandy completely unscathed, and my thoughts are with everyone who is without power. Those of you with kids, well I can't even imagine what you must be going through. Yesterday, when the entire city shut down, my kids started climbing the walls, and I have never been more thankful for an open Barnes and Noble, in my life. Luckily, the store shut down at noon, allowing all of those wonderful employees the chance to get home, before the worst of the storm hit. I'd never thought I'd say it, but this was a glimpse of corporate america at it's best. Most of our weekend was spent trying to stay busy, in a town that was quickly closing shop. Now that I have both kids in the morning, and no naps to worry about, I renewed all those old memberships and this weekend the kids and I hit the aquarium, the children's museum, and the museum of science. Yesterday, we were one of the last to leave the T before its closing, and as we arrived home Gray got out to walk, and, I kid you not, he began to get pushed down the sidewalk. Needless to say, we spent the rest of the day inside. Here is a little glimpse into the week that was.
I wish you all a safe and speedy recovery in your community, and a special thanks to all those first responders, most of whom are still out there, trying to undo the massive damage Sandy created. You guys are such heroes!

Hi there! I'm a brand new follower and found your blog when I googled Parenthood because I am writing about it in my blog post right now and wanted a picture. When I clicked on the picture I liked, it took me to your blog. That's when I decided we must be blog friends since we are both loving that show and the same picture for it. :)
Love the picture of you and BG. I also have a love of stripes, especially shirts. Where did you get your shirt and pants? And I love your glasses. I don't look nearly as nice in mine as you do in yours. #jealousofthat
You have the most amazing style! Could you please share where the pieces of your amazing outfit in photo #7 are from? I adore the entire look!!!
You guys are too sweet!
The pants are from here, and are still in stock! http://www.jcrew.com/womens_feature/NewArrivals/pants/PRDOVR~22219/22219.jsp
I seriously wear them almost every day!
The shirt is from A.L.C. and the navy sweater is from Gap sale, years ago. Petit Bateau makes my favorite striped shirts, and they are very similar to the one pictured!
The glasses are from SEE... but I have a feeling you look great in them! I always hate pictures of myself in them, but love they way they look in real life!!!
Thanks again for your nice comments!
xx
