Mommy.

The little man has officially melted my heart. Officially.

As of yesterday he has given me a new name; Mommy.

Prior to this, I was always called Mom, or Mam. All day long. Seriously, some days I swear he said "Mam" about 1,000 times.
"Mam?" "Yes, Liam." "Mam?" "Yes, Liam." "Mam?"....etc.

But now, after about 6 months of that, they finally have a different tone. "Mommy!" "Yes, sweet baby boy." "MOMMY!!!!" "Yes, baby!"

I know, to the lay person they sound pretty similar. To a mom (mam) who hears this all day long it is a world of difference.

I am now, and forever will be, someone's Mommy.

It also doesn't hurt that he gives me the cutest smile when he says it. I'm sure it has something to do with the ear to ear smile on my face, but either way I am completely in love with this new word.

Mommy.

You must stop...any more posts like these and I just might try to join your Mommmy club. Which would be sad for the orphaned little child who would be in someone else's care while I work a gazillion hours a week...leading said child to start calling the nanny "Mommy" instead, and thus defeating the whole thing.

=)

LB: They ALWAYS know "Mommy" from "Nanny" it's instinctual. Plus unlike like me, they will be able to look up to their bad ass lawyer mommy, and not just their park buddy mommy!
