My newest obsession? No, it's not shoes, and shockingly is not anything clothing related. My current OBSESSION is the Kindle 2. Did I say obsession? This is more like, I need, I want, I have to have.
Seriously, this thing is AMAZING. It is as thick as a pencil, holds like 4,500 books, and weighs less than a paperback. Can you say sold!
Luckily, someone has a birthday coming in just a few weeks. Hint, Hint.

me too! Group discount?!?!
Looks cool, but I have to say, I love the feeling of turning pages.....
I've been going back and forth about this, but I can't imagine not actually touching a book. I love the convenience of the Kindle but love, love, love the real deal. Keep us posted!
It does look great but I too love the feeling of turning pages - hmm I wonder if one day that will be quite "vintage"?
I've always been skeptical about this but apparently they've made alot of improvements on it. sidenote, my dad used to say that he "invented" this concept decades ago. his name for it: bookman. yea dad...sure you did...
The tactile element of reading would be missing so I don't think this is for me, I like to feel and smell the pages of a book.
Ooh I like the look of that. However, there is something rather satisfying about working your way through a book and bit by bit, the half you have in your right hand getting smaller and the half you have in your left hand getting bigger. Does that make sense?
I bought the Kindle 1 and immediately upgraded to a Kindle 2. I LOVE it. It's amazing. I took it on vacation to Cabo and it was great having ALL my books in one place.
I highly recommend it! The only negative is not all books are available yet. You will still have to purchase regular books once in a while. Beware, it's very addicting to be able to purchase books in under a minute.:)
I'm with KT on this one. I would love to have the variety at my finger tips, and loose the book bulk. But...I think I'd miss the paper and binding smell, so I could never fully switch over to Kindle!
