Can't I Just Paint The Walls That I'm Climbing?

Tuesday, January 11, 2011

Today I went to my OB for my 13-14 week appointment, which means one thing.... I'm OFFICIALLY in my second trimester. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! This also means that we are only 1-2 weeks away from finding out what we are having. Yes, I know that technically you are supposed to wait until 18-20 weeks to find out the gender, but one of the perks of being married to a radiologist is that we can get a preview a little bit earlier, and you know that after all these years I am absolutely going to take my hubby up on that offer. I could honestly care less what the gender is, and I totally see benefits to either sex, so it's not that I want one or another, really, I just want to know!!!! Also, finding out the gender means one very important thing, I finally get to paint/decorating our empty, boring, guest room/play room. One of the benefits of having so many years looking at baby stuff is that I can say 100% that I know exactly how I want either room to look. I've posted this before, but here is a look at where baby Parker, or Gray will be laying her/his head!

Girl:

Boy:

Less than 14 more days and I can finally paint these walls that I've been climbing!

P.S. I still TOTALLY think it's a girl.

Both those rooms are so gender neutral I would just pick which one you love more! Love them both btw.

I'm a HUGE fan of yours and of this blog but I have to tell you that Parker is a horrible name for a girl. PLEASE do not name your female child Parker. It just reeks of someone of a low-class who is desperately wanting to be a polo-playing, country club going blue-blood. I love your style and I'm not trolling, just begging you to reconsider that awful name. Gray is a great name for a boy though.

Oh I love your style (and the blog of course) - number 2 on the way for me too but have a tiny little room to turn into something wonderful - please post pictures of your nursery-to-be as you do it up to inspire me over here in the dreary UK! xx
